Really solid worldbuilding here. The detail about Harlan tracking the Soviet agent across those earthen dikes through the telephoto lens felt super tactile and grounded. Watched a documentry once on Cold War surveillance ops, and the patience those camera guys had was insane, feels like Harlan's got that same vibe but with the multiverse twist. The betrayal angle at the end wiht the American traitor adds good tension.
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I don't know why, but I love Cold War vibes. Have you ever seen the Alec Guinness version of Tinker Tailor? It's phenomenal.
Awesome, thank you for encouragement! I really appreciate it. It's been fun writing these so far, because instead of the laborious pre-writing work of a novel, I just sit down with an idea and try to bang one out in an hour.
For sure. Momentum is essential. Big projects can feel so overwhelming. It's like, just do something, *anything,* today. Doesn't matter how big or small it is.
Fascinating, excited to read more
Thank you, I appreciate that! I'm glad you enjoyed it. More to come, every Thursday!
This is such a cool premise! I look forward to each installment.
Thank you, I appreciate that! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Now we'll see if I can keep it up haha. More to come, every Thursday!
DARK vibes! 🔥 Montpellier is definitely up to something fishy, I can smell it through the screen 😈
Right?? Who knows, maybe he was even involved in the JFK assassination.
Hold on, that just gave me an idea!
Right right 👏 You think he could also be at the Ed Sullivan show when The Beatles were there too? 🥹
Wait, was the CIA present at the show? This sounds like a rabbit hole I need to fall down!
Never heard of them being actually there, but it seems plausible 😅
I mean, British invasion? That's what they're here for!
Exactly!
This was delightfully different. Gotta check out the other instalments.
Thank you, I appreciate that! More to come, every Thursday. See you around the 'stacks!
Enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing!

I love it!! Yeah, it can be really fun to ride the wave of a serial! Fun and momentum, which can carry over into that complex novel creation time :)
